Market Trade (Long)

What is Market Trading?

📌 Market Order (Explained)

  • What it does: Instantly buys or sells at the best available price.

  • When to use: You want to enter or exit a position immediately.

“How do I go long on a token?” A long position means you’re buying a token expecting the price to rise. Here’s how to do it manually using a Market Order.

  1. Once you’ve selected a market, you’ll see the trading interface. This is where you can open a position using leverage—either long or short. In this case, we’re going long (betting the price will go up).

  1. Adjust your Max Account Leverage by clicking the leverage settings. Be cautious—higher leverage increases both risk and potential reward. Click Save to apply.

  1. Choose your position size by entering the quantity manually or using the slider to adjust.

  1. Set your Take Profit and Stop Loss levels to manage risk. These help automate your exit if the price hits a target or falls too far. Click Save to confirm the settings.

  1. Once everything looks good, click Buy / Long to place your market order.

  1. Your connected wallet will prompt you to Confirm the order. Sign to approve and finalize the trade.

⚙️ Reduce Only (Optional)

Enable Reduce Only if you want this order to only close or reduce an existing position. It won’t increase size or open a new trade—if there’s no open position, it simply won’t execute.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Market Long trades execute immediately at the best available price, watch for slippage in volatile markets.

  • Always set a stop loss, especially when using leverage. It protects you from sudden liquidations.

  • Leverage increases both potential profits and risk, trade responsibly.

  • The system won’t let you long if you don’t have enough balance or margin.

💡 Smart Tips

  • Use the slider to size your trades quickly, but double-check the numbers before confirming.

  • Take Profit and Stop Loss are your safety nets, setting them saves you from emotional decision-making.

  • Use "Reduce Only" if you’re scaling out of a long without accidentally increasing exposure.

  • Start with lower leverage and build confidence, bigger isn't always better.
