Market Trade (Short)
What is Market Trading?
📌 Market Order (Explained)
What it does: Instantly buys or sells at the best available price.
When to use: You want to enter or exit a position immediately.
“How do I short a token?” A short position means you’re betting the token’s price will go down. This is how to do it manually using a Market Order.
After selecting your market, you’ll see the full trading interface. This is where you can open a leveraged position—choose Short this time.
Set your Max Account Leverage by clicking the leverage settings. Higher leverage = higher risk. Adjust carefully and click Save.
Enter your position size manually or adjust using the slider. This determines how much you're shorting.
Add Take Profit and Stop Loss levels to protect your downside or secure gains. Click Save once you’re happy with the setup.
Once everything is settled, click Sell / Short to place your market order.
After the platform confirmation, your connected wallet will prompt a confirmation. Just sign to finalize the trade!
⚙️ Reduce Only (Optional)
Turning on Reduce Only means this order will only decrease or close an existing short. It won’t open a new short or increase your position size.
⚠️ Important Notes
Market Shorts execute at the best available price, it may incur slippage during volatile moves.
Shorting requires margin. If your balance is too low or leverage is maxed, the trade may fail.
Always use stop losses, shorts can get liquidated quickly during sharp price spikes.
Reduce Only helps avoid accidental overexposure when managing open positions.
💡 Smart Tips
Shorts profit when price drops, but can also lose quickly if price pumps. Stay alert.
Set clear Take Profit and Stop Loss targets before you enter. Discipline matters.
If you’re managing an existing position, "Reduce Only" is your safety switch.
Test small sizes before scaling into higher leverage or more complex setups.
